How It Works
Step 1 — Input the job description
Paste the job description manually, or if you are using the ORQILO Chrome extension, let Job Intelligence auto-extract it from the posting. Your résumé and career memory are already loaded from your profile.
Step 2 — Choose your tone
Select one of three tones: Professional, Conversational or Bold. Each mode restructures sentence flow, vocabulary and emphasis to match different company cultures — from enterprise formal to startup casual.
Step 3 — Generate and edit
The AI maps your career record against the job requirements and generates a complete cover letter in under five seconds. Review it, edit the company-specific paragraph, and copy the final version.

Questions
Does the cover letter generator work without uploading a résumé first?
No. The generator writes from your career record — if there is no record, there is nothing to draw on. Upload a résumé or build a career profile first, then generate a letter against a specific job description.
Can I edit the generated letter?
Yes. The output is a starting point. You can edit every paragraph before copying it. The recommendation is always to personalise the paragraph about the company, because the generator does not have inside knowledge of the employer.
How many tone options are there?
Three: Professional, Conversational and Bold. Each changes sentence structure, vocabulary and emphasis. Professional is the safe default; Conversational works well for startups and creative roles; Bold leads with results and takes a more assertive position.
Will the generator invent achievements I have not done?
No. It writes from the career record and the job description. The same grounding enforcement that protects the résumé builder applies here — if a claim is not in your record, it does not appear in the letter.
Can I download the cover letter as a PDF or DOCX?
You can copy the text and paste it into whatever format the application requires. There is no built-in PDF or DOCX export for cover letters at this time.
