Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains what information ORQILO collects, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have over your information.

Last updated: August 31, 2026

01

Introduction

ORQILO (“ORQILO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an AI-powered career platform — an AI career operating system that helps you understand your current career position, define a target direction, identify gaps, and plan practical next steps. The platform includes AI resume building, resume and ATS analysis, role-tailored resume versions, market and salary research, career pivot comparison, Career Twin (“Qilo”) functionality, career path planning, interview preparation, a personal career workspace, account management, and subscription services (collectively, the “Service”).

This Privacy Policy explains how ORQILO collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you access or use the Service, and describes the choices available to you. It applies to information processed through our website, application, and related account services.

We have written this policy in plain English so that it can actually be read. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

02

Information We Collect

We collect information only where it is reasonably necessary to provide, secure, and improve the Service. The information we may collect falls into the following categories.

A. Account Information

When you create and use an account, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Profile information you choose to provide
  • Authentication identifiers and session tokens
  • Account preferences and settings
  • Login-related information necessary for security

If you sign in through a third-party authentication provider, we may receive basic account information from that provider consistent with your choices and the provider’s permissions.

B. Career Information

ORQILO is built around your professional context. You may voluntarily provide information such as:

  • Current job title and target job title
  • Career goals and career preferences
  • Industry and work experience
  • Education, skills, certifications, and projects
  • Professional achievements and other career-related details

C. Resume / CV Information

You may upload or paste resumes and CVs. These documents can contain your name, contact information, employment history, education, skills, certifications, projects, and other professional experience contained within the document. We process this information to provide the career services you request — for example, building, analysing, or tailoring a resume.

D. About You Answers

Job applications repeatedly ask the same small set of personal questions, and the dashboard has an “About You” page where you can answer them once instead of on every form. Nothing on that page is required, nothing on it is filled in for you, and nothing is inferred from your résumé or anywhere else — a value is stored only because you chose it. The questions cover:

  • Whether you are legally authorised to work in the country you are applying in
  • Whether you require, or will require, visa sponsorship
  • Voluntary equal-opportunity questions: gender, race or ethnicity, veteran status and disability status — each of which offers “Prefer not to say” as an answer
  • Whether you confirm that the information you provide on an application is accurate

Some of these describe protected characteristics. We collect them for one purpose — offering them back to you when an application asks — and for no other. They are not used to rank you, match you to jobs, train models, or influence anything else in the Service, and they are not shared with employers by us; only an application you complete and submit yourself carries them anywhere. You can change any answer or delete it individually from the “About You” page at any time, and deleting removes the answer from your record rather than blanking it.

E. User-Generated Content

We may collect content you create while using the Service, including prompts and career questions, AI conversations, resume edits and versions, career plans and goals, feedback you submit, and documents you upload.

F. Usage Information

Like most online services, we may collect information about how the Service is accessed and used, including session information, device and browser information, IP address (and approximate location derived from it where applicable), and diagnostic information needed to operate and debug the Service.

03

Resume and Career Information

ORQILO may process resumes, CVs, professional profiles, career goals, skills, experience, and related career information in order to provide the features you use — such as resume building, ATS analysis, skill-gap analysis, and career roadmaps.

Please only upload information you have the right to provide, and avoid including sensitive personal information that is not necessary for the service you are requesting. The more accurate and relevant the information you provide, the more useful your ORQILO experience will be.

Some features are powered by external AI and cloud infrastructure. Where such providers are required to deliver a feature you request, your content may be processed by those service providers to the extent necessary, subject to applicable agreements and safeguards. We do not use your resume or career content for purposes unrelated to providing and improving the Service.

04

How We Use Your Information

We may use the information we collect to:

  • Create, maintain, and secure your account
  • Build, analyse, and tailor resumes and perform ATS analysis
  • Provide career recommendations, career planning, Career Twin, and career path functionality
  • Process AI requests you initiate and return results to your workspace
  • Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries
  • Process subscriptions and manage your plan status
  • Maintain security, detect fraud or abuse, and diagnose technical issues
  • Understand how the product is used in order to improve the Service
  • Communicate important service updates
  • Comply with legal obligations

05

AI and Automated Processing

ORQILO uses artificial intelligence and automated technologies to provide certain features, including resume building and rewriting, resume analysis, career recommendations, market research, career planning, and Career Twin insights. Some analysis is not AI-driven at all: your ATS score is calculated deterministically from measured properties of your resume rather than produced by a model.

When you use an AI feature, the relevant parts of your career profile or resume are sent to the AI provider serving that request so it can return a result. Providers are described in the Third-Party Services section below.

AI-generated content and recommendations are intended to assist your own judgment. They should not be treated as guaranteed employment, hiring, salary, promotion, or career outcomes, and they do not constitute professional, legal, or financial advice. You remain in control of what you submit, edit, and send to employers or other third parties.

06

The ORQILO Browser Extension

ORQILO offers a browser extension that helps you complete job application forms. It runs only on the sites listed in its Chrome Web Store entry and on LinkedIn job and profile pages. It does not run on, or read, any other site you visit.

What it reads from an application page

On a supported application page, the extension reads the structure of the form so it can understand what is being asked: the text of each question, the type of each control, the available options, the section and step a question belongs to, and how repeated groups are organised. It does not copy the page’s full contents, and it does not record your browsing history, clicks, keystrokes, or mouse movement.

Where a field already contains text — for example a draft answer you have started writing — the extension can see it locally so that it can show you what is already there and avoid overwriting your work. That text is not sent to us. It is removed from the request before any question is sent for an answer to be drafted.

What is sent to ORQILO

To offer an answer to a question, the extension sends the question and its structure to ORQILO over an authenticated connection, along with the company and role where the page names them. When you sign in, it also requests a reduced copy of your profile: your name, email address, phone number, location, LinkedIn and website, together with your goals, primary role, skills, work experience, education and any answers you have previously approved for reuse. If you have filled in the “About You” page, the answers you saved there are included as well, so that the extension can offer them when an application asks. Your full résumé text, your activity history and your ORQILO dashboards are not sent to the extension.

How you are identified

When you are signed in to ORQILO, the website passes a sign-in token to the extension. The extension holds that token in memory only: it is not written to browser storage, not placed into any web page or address, and not recorded in logs. It is discarded when your browser shuts the extension’s background process down. Our servers determine who you are from the verified token itself, and never from any identifier the extension supplies.

Drafted answers

When you ask the extension to draft an answer to an open-ended question, that question is sent to ORQILO together with the relevant supporting evidence from your own profile — work experience, projects, skills, education, certifications, achievements, and answers you have previously approved. Your full profile and your résumé are not sent to the AI provider. The processing happens on ORQILO’s servers, and the extension holds no AI provider credentials of any kind.

A drafted answer has to be supported by that evidence. Where there is nothing to support one, the extension tells you the question needs your own answer rather than composing something.

What is stored on your device

The extension stores your résumé text in your browser’s extension storage so that it does not have to be entered again, and you can remove it by removing the extension. The questions found on the page you are viewing, and your sign-in token, are held in memory only and are discarded when the tab closes or your browser shuts the extension’s background process down.

What the extension will not do

The extension never submits an application. It writes only the answers you have approved, and sending the application is always your own action.

It never derives an answer about sponsorship, work authorisation, or demographic, veteran and disability status from your résumé, your career profile, or an AI model. The only thing it will offer for one of those questions is the answer you saved yourself on the “About You” page, and it presents that for your approval rather than filling it in — it is shown to you as a proposed answer every time, on every application, and is never approved automatically. Where you have saved nothing, the extension leaves the question for you, as it always has. The same applies to a truthfulness declaration: it is offered only if you set one, and only for you to approve.

It never attaches files. It does not interact with CAPTCHA or other anti-bot systems, and it does not sign you in to anything.

After writing an answer, the extension reads the field back to confirm the page accepted it. Where it cannot confirm that, it reports the field as unfilled rather than as done.

07

Cookies and Analytics

ORQILO does not currently operate a third-party analytics, advertising, or behavioural-tracking suite, and we do not build advertising profiles from your activity.

To keep you signed in and remember your preferences, the Service stores information in your browser using local storage and the storage mechanisms used by our authentication provider. Clearing this data will sign you out and may reset preferences.

Some pages of the Service embed a LinkedIn profile-badge script served by LinkedIn. When a page containing it loads, your browser contacts LinkedIn directly, and LinkedIn may receive your IP address and set or read its own cookies under its own privacy policy. This happens regardless of whether you have a LinkedIn account. You can block it with browser settings or an extension that restricts third-party scripts; the rest of the Service will continue to work.

08

Third-Party Services

ORQILO relies on third-party service providers to operate the platform. These fall into the following categories:

  • Authentication, database, and hosting — to run your account and store your workspace
  • AI model processing — to generate and analyse resume and career content you request. This is currently provided by Google (Gemini) and Groq, called from ORQILO’s servers
  • Payment processing — to take subscription payments
  • Job and market data sources — to return live listings and salary information
  • An embedded LinkedIn profile-badge script, as described in the previous section

These providers process information on ORQILO’s behalf or under their own terms and privacy policies, and we engage only the providers reasonably necessary to operate the Service. You can review a provider’s own privacy policy on its website.

Payment Processing

If you subscribe to a paid plan — ORQILO Pro (₹99/month) or ORQILO Premium (₹199/month) — payment is completed through a third-party payment provider. Full payment card details are handled by that provider and never reach ORQILO’s servers; we keep only the minimum account and subscription-status information needed to manage your plan.

09

How We Share Information

We may share information:

  • With service providers necessary to operate the platform (for example hosting, storage, AI processing, and payments)
  • When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
  • To protect the rights, safety, and security of users, ORQILO, or the public
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality obligations
  • With your consent or at your direction, where appropriate

ORQILO does not sell your personal information.

10

Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account, and provide the features you use — and to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and prevent abuse. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it, consistent with applicable law and our operational requirements.

11

Data Security

ORQILO uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These include encryption in transit, authentication and access controls, database rules that prevent one account from reading or modifying another’s data, and server-side checks on operations that affect your subscription or billing status.

No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Service at your own risk consistent with this policy.

12

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • Access personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Request restriction of, or object to, certain processing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Request a copy of certain information you provided
  • Manage or opt out of marketing communications

You can review and update much of your information directly within your ORQILO workspace. To exercise any other right, contact us using the details in Section 16 and we will respond consistent with applicable law.

13

International Data Transfers

ORQILO and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country in which you reside. Where information is transferred across borders, we rely on reasonable safeguards appropriate to the transfer. If you have questions about how your information is handled in your region, contact us using the details below.

14

Children's Privacy

ORQILO is intended for individuals who are legally able to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where prohibited by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

16

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the Service evolves or as legal or technical requirements change. When we make material changes, we will provide appropriate notice — for example, by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page or by notifying you through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
