Read a Job Posting Against Your Profile

The question in front of a job posting is always the same: is this worth an application? This is the part that answers it with something other than a feeling.

01

What Job Intelligence Is

Two surfaces with one job between them: telling you how a role relates to your actual record before you spend an hour on it.

One runs in your browser, on the posting itself. The other lives in the workspace and looks across roles rather than at one of them.

02

Reading a Posting in Place

The ORQILO Chrome extension reads the job page you are on and compares it against your career record — what the posting asks for, and which of it your record can evidence.

Where it runs

LinkedIn job pages. That is the scope: the extension is not active on Indeed, Naukri, Glassdoor or Wellfound, and this page will not suggest otherwise. For a posting anywhere else, paste the description into the workspace.

Implementation note — legal review required: The comparison is only as good as the record behind it. If your career record is thin, the match read will be too — that is a property of the input, not a bug.

The extension and how to install it are covered on the extension page.

03

Inside the Workspace

Opportunity Radar

Roles matched against your profile and ranked by fit, so the list starts with the ones worth reading rather than the ones posted most recently.

Global Jobs Market

Live openings you can browse and filter by role category.

Market Intel

What the market for your target role looks like — hiring velocity, the skills postings ask for, work-model split, regional demand and where your rate sits against the average. This is the surface to read before setting a career roadmap, because a target with no demand behind it is a longer route than it looks.

04

Where the Numbers Come From

Two sources, kept visibly apart, because conflating them is how a product ends up presenting a guess as a measurement.

Measured

Regional vacancy counts come from Adzuna's index — a real job board, queried server-side. Those are counts of postings that exist.

Estimated

Salary trajectory, industry growth and skill demand are model estimates for your target role. The surfaces badge them as estimates, and where a figure cannot be produced at all they show an empty state rather than a plausible number.

Implementation note — legal review required: That rule is the reason to trust the ones that do appear. A dashboard that always has a number is a dashboard that will invent one.

05

What It Does Not Do

  • It does not apply to jobs for you, and does not submit anything on your behalf.
  • It does not run on job sites other than LinkedIn.
  • A match figure is a comparison, not a prediction of an outcome.
  • It does not read your email or your calendar.
  • Estimated market figures are estimates, and are labelled as such.

What happens after you apply is the application tracker's job, and that is where the pattern across applications gets read.

Questions

What does Job Intelligence actually do?

Two things. In the browser, the ORQILO extension reads a job posting you are looking at and compares it against your career record. In the workspace, Opportunity Radar ranks matched roles and Market Intel shows what the market for your target role looks like.

Which job sites does the extension work on?

LinkedIn. The extension is scoped to LinkedIn job pages — it does not run on Indeed, Naukri, Glassdoor or Wellfound. If you are browsing elsewhere, paste the description into the workspace instead.

Is the match score a prediction that I will get the job?

No. It is a comparison between what the posting asks for and what your record evidences. It says how well the two line up, which is useful for deciding where to spend an application — not for predicting an outcome.

Is the job market data real or estimated?

Both, and they are kept apart. Regional vacancy counts come from Adzuna's index, which is a real job board. Figures like salary trajectory and industry growth are model estimates, and the surface badges them as such rather than presenting them as measurements.
